Palmeri-Sponsored Rider Places FIRST in 15/16 Junior Road Race

Thursday, June 05, 2008

PALMERI sponsored rider, Matt Lipscomb, rode his NEW PALMERI TT bike to finish in the top 15 at the Union City Georgia Cup time trial CAT 2/3 Elite event.

At 14 years old, the young rider posted a 22:52 for the 10 mile course. Pushing a gear restricted 50 X 14 Matt's average speed of 26.62 MPH was
good enough 12th overall and first among the 15/16 juniors.

As the current 2007-2008 Georgia State Road and Criterium Champion (13/14 juniors) keep an eye out for the young rider as he takes his PALMERI TT bike to Los Angeles later this summer to compete at Nationals. Keep up the good work Matt!

Footnote: After the Time Trial event on Saturday, Matt went on to place FIRST in the 15/16 junior Road Race and is now the 2008/2009 Georgia State Road Race champion for 15/16 juniors......... congrats!

Palmeri-Sponsored Rider Matt Lipscomb's First Victory in 2009!

Saturday, February 14, 2009

Palmeri sponsored rider, Matt Lipscomb age 15, posted his FIRST victory in the 2009 season with a fine ride in the 2009 Tundra Time Trial in Hiram, Georgia. Matt's time of 21:44 for the 9.6 mile course, was good enough for the TOP step on the podium in the Junior division. Matt, a CAT 3, opted to ride in the Junior division due to the gear restriction of all junior riders. Matt's time would have been good enough for a 4th place finish in the CAT 3 division. Matt said his Palmeri TT bike "was fast... real fast"!

If you feel the need for speed, call Mike or Kevin as the 2009 TT frames are in stock! (Limited sizes on hand)

By the way, on the "way" back he held over 30 MPH! Junior gears!!! 120 RPM! He beat the next junior by 45 seconds.

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Plameri sponsored rider, Matt Lipscomb, placed a fine 8th place finish in the CAT 3 Training race at Donaldson Center in Greenville, SC. Matt made the final break (of 12) that put over 3 minutes into the next group across the line. While just a training race, this was the first true test of Matt's NEW Palmeri road frame. With wind gusts over 25 MPH and 40 degrees for the high, Matt said his Palmeri bike was GREAT!

With over 70 starters and the tough race conditions, congratulations to Matt for a "good ride"!

The road frames are in stock with more on the way... See Mike or Kevin for your custom build!
