The Ridgeway mountain bike trail system is located in Ridgeway Park at Carters Lake. The trail passes through mountain vegetation along high ridges then descends  to cross small creeks. The main trail is a loop approximately 6 miles long. The trail is clearly marked with highly visible orange posts. Black (advanced) and White (intermediate) trail sections have been developed to challenge riders of various skills. Trail features include a mixture of single track and narrow logging roads along with short, steep climbs, creek crossings, and technical downhills. Time required to complete one loop ranges from 35 minutes for experts to over on hour for beginners. The trail can be accessed from several points along the main road.

Ridgeway has a primitive campground with 17 sites. Other park facilities include a boat ramp, picnic tables, and nature trail. Drinking water and bathrooms are also located in the park. The access road into Ridgeway is gravel for the first two miles then becomes paved. Ridgeway is open year-round.

Mountain biking can be dangerous; always wear a helmet! Trails like Ridgeway are built and maintained by volunteers. Help mountain biking by volunteering to build or maintain a trail. Have fun!
