About Us

Alex Williams & Ben Schlosser - Owners

She came in for a bike tune; he’d been running the shop for years—and somewhere between tire checks and trail talk, sparks flew.

He’s spent a decade owning Cartecay Bike and Brewery and a lifetime wrenching, now splitting his days between dialing in mountain bikes and brewing the house favorites at the Southeast’s only bike shop with an in-house brewery.

She ditched the corporate grind for dirt, roots, and ridge lines, turning her “weekend warrior” habit into a full-time life on two wheels.

Together, they keep the taps cold, the bikes fast, and the vibe friendly—proving the best rides end where the beer is brewed just a few feet from the work stand.

Check out our current brews.

TJ McArthur - Mechanic and Human Resources

TJ does it all—mountain biking, paddling, rock climbing, and he’s even been a touring musician with a killer karaoke voice.

In the shop, he’s the go-to wrench, handling everything from quick checkups to full overhauls so your bike rides at its peak.

When he’s not turning bolts, you’ll find him on the local trails testing gear, chasing new tech, and helping riders pick the right upgrades, stay on budget, and find their next favorite route.
